Page 73 ends 23-29th May 1916 – last line: Orders received for move to Martinsart –the word at bottom (/during) would be on first line of next page, but the next page 74 is for a Cover Page for June 1916. The next page 75 is for the 1-13th June 1916. Link for page 73 is: https://talk.operationwardiary.org/#/subjects/AWD0003gil Pages are running in sequence...”

Looking further back in my notes for this diary I had reported #outoforder Page 25* Dated 29-31st MAY 1916. Follows page 24 for 29 JAN-31st JAN 1916. Link: for page 25 is: https://talk.operationwardiary.org/#/subjects/AWD0003gei This is the page reported above as missing.

In conclusion: Page73 is for the 23-29th May 1916 (ending during...) Link: https://talk.operationwardiary.org/#/subjects/AWD0003gil

*Page 25 is for 29th-31st MAY 1916 (beginning ...during). I had tagged both pages.

For page 75 I have entered the comment “Page #found. The dates for 29-31st May 1916 appeared on page 25 which was an out of order page". Reported to Moderator.

Thank goodness you take such good notes! Following your example, I've started taking some notes but I don't think they are as comprehensive as yours. Sometimes I start to wonder if it is worth the trouble, and then on the next page something comes up that makes me refer back to my notes.

Thank you for keeping us up-to-date on this.

Cynthia I work with a shorthand pad inserting the name of the Diary. I mark the pages in 3 in columns: Page number/Diary date/Places/ and on blank page near to with this columned page I put the names of the people in the Diary. If some Battalions amalgamate and I have tagged them, then I have some of their names on record as well. Also if I tag another part of a diary which appears later for different dates in the years, I have some of their names as well. More work but find notes very helpful.

That's similar to what I do, except I use a larger spiral-bound notebook and record the names with the date and places. Although I've been tagging full pages of casualty lists the past two or three days and I have not recorded all those names. It would just take too long.

You're both much more organised than me! Thanks for putting so much effort into recording all of this.
