If you have a look through the tagging queue, you'll spot a nice selection of new diaries, just ready for tagging!
We have a nice mix of infantry, artillery, cavalry and all the various support units which made up the army at the front. Feel free to dive in!

I have been going through one of the newer diaries and noted with surprise that for a while the medical officer was a US Army medical officer. He was in the unit for several weeks until he was wounded and evacuated. Very interesting.

Just read the article you posted about the United States Army Medical Officers. Found this article very interesting also the photographs, which made a very good read.

It's fascinating, isn't it? One of the great things about this project is how you learn about some of the less well-recorded, but still equally vital, contributions to the eventual victory.
