  Hello,
  I am new to Operation War Dairy but already addicted. Although he did not visit, there is a mention of George V sending congratulations (I believe) in diary of 6 Division 16 Infantry Brigade 1 Battalion King's Shropshire Light Infantry 31 Dec 1916 Dec 1916.. Sorry I don't remember the page and can't be more specific. There is also a mention of HRH Prince Edward VIII visiting. Just discovered the use of hashtags so will definitely use in the future.
