War Diaries Talk

Excellent book

  • Stork by Stork

I just stumbled onto this book which all of you may know about, but I haven't seen it mentioned in this forum before. It has photos and info on officers who died in the war.

It says Volume 1 and only covers Aug - Dec 1914--- I searched but can't find any more volumes.

You can download and save it. Click the 4-arrows icon to get more flexibility in changing pages.

The first section is a detailed report on British operations by Field Marshal French.

The Bond of Sacrifice portraits were one of the data sets we loaded into Lives of the First World War. There's also an interesting collection covering womens' war work.

Digitised images are here (including some Other Ranks as well as officers: http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/listing/object-205011945?items_per_page=50
