  Well, they would get peace later that year... although not the peace they were probably drinking for...

  I wonder how many of the guys in that picture lived to see even that. 😕

  I always wonder that with these images too. There's one particular one I used a while back of a group of men going up a sap on a trench raid. The caption says that seconds after the photo was taken, a shell landed right in the middle of them and killed several of them. Horrible.

  I have that same question every time I come to OWD home page. I wonder how many of those men made it home, especially the ones who are so obviously very young.
