Rob Livermore has written a most interesting Blog post on an often overlooked but vital part of the preparation for attacks on the Western Front - the work of the Royal Engineers' Tunnelling Companies.
As he says in the article "Keep an eye out for mention of the tunnelling companies in the unit war diaries. If you find them, use the hashtag #mine and help us ensure their story is told."
