Handwriting help needed!

    Second line: "a [something] has been received - a means of firing a rifle from a position below".

    The closest I can get is Snipescope, which doesn't seem quite right.

    I think Snipescope is correct. I have come across a reference to a Telescope Sight Rifle Scope. I think they were manufactured by Vickers Armstrong in WW1.
