Re Commented Query on page 158 – 8 Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers

According to my notes diary page number 122 was the first page of this report - Title: “Report of Raid on 48th Infantry Brigade Front” – Part of the 49th Infantry Brigade Scheme of 29 October 1916. It consisted of 1 page only – 2nd page did not appear.

I Believe this page 158 is the 2nd page of the report concerning a raid by 8 Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers on 29th October 1916.

Page 158, mentions (2/Lt Whitty 8 Btn Royal Dublin Fusiliers, reported missing with 9 men) but I previously tagged him as being wounded. See page link: 122: “ 2/Lt. Whitty going round a traverse shot in face by revolver. He claims to have shot the man who shot him and withdrew to find his men”. Link for page 122: https://talk.operationwardiary.org/#/subjects/AWD0003i1e 1st page of report.

    Link for 158 – 2nd page https://talk.operationwardiary.org/#/subjects/AWD0003htu

Therefore I am inserting a comment on this page 158: #outoforder Believe 2nd page of Report re Raid 29/10/16. 1st page diary page number 122. I have Tagged this page and Reported to Moderator.

By the way Captain P J Hunt who signs this report was awarded the insignia of #dso by His Majesty the King in London on 22 November 1916. Page 133 - link https://talk.operationwardiary.org/#/subjects/AWD0003hrx

Hope you can understand this from the page links provided.

Thanks, Marie. I agree that pg 158 is the second page of the report beginning at page 122.
