  Yorks diary but new CO is for Wilts.Any ideas?

  I've merged your three separate posts and in doing so have lost two of the images - sorry.

  The officer mentioned on the page shown is being promoted out of 2 Yorks to command 2 Wilts. Presumably 2 Wilts didn't have any senior Captains left! It's not uncommon for officers to get moved between Battalions like this.

  The next page is this one http://talk.operationwardiary.org/#/subjects/AWD0002twy and the signature says Stansfield. This is the Major actually commanding the diary unit (2 Yorks) at this point.

  If you then look here http://talk.operationwardiary.org/#/subjects/AWD0002txk you will see that Lt Col Young was then appointed the following month to command the Bn in place of Major Stansfield

  You're welcome, but what happened to the other two posts before mine? Did I manage to lose them or did you delete them? For anyone who didn't see them the question arose about why it appeared three different names were given as commanding.
