Query on Grid Reference Tags

  I have a query on this page – could you possibly check it out for me because I have a feeling that I have tagged the References for example Q1, Q2, S1, S2 etc as Grid References. I think now that they are the gun position numbers of the Companies. Unfortunately, I have tagged nearly all the diary pages for June 1918 -up to above page, like this where the numbers appear. I have put a correction tag on the above link. Could you perhaps take a note of this for this diary for the 2 Division: 2 Battalion Machine Gun Corps. At the bottom of the page the References F.13.c.40.00 etc are grid references.
  Sorry, seem to have had ‘a senior moment’.

  Yes, looks like they are gun identifiers, but don't worry Marie - if there is any confusion when the data is processed it will be flagged and we will investigate it. Thanks for letting us know.
