    This Signal Coy uses 'Cme.' a lot, like in the last day here. What is that?

    I think I got the answer on the next page AWD0003txw in the last day. 'Cme' may be 'communication,' and it looks like 'dis' means that a line got cut or stopped working.

    I agree, @Stork. My brain's working slowly at the moment, so I can't fathom exactly what 'dis' might stand for. Disconnected, maybe.

    Yes, I think that Cme. or Cms. means communication or communications. I tagged this diary and could never quite decide if it was Cme. or Cms. And disconnected is also what I thought Dis means.

    I thought this was an interesting diary because each section was assigned to an infantry brigade and each of those sections kept its own diary. So there is a great record of the movements of the three brigades of the division. I think it was the 5th Division?
