  Isn't that a hoot? I always wonder if they smelled faintly of beer after bathing in those vats.

  Yes, as a teenager I was told that rinsing my hair in beer would give it body and shine. When I asked for a can of beer for this purpose, my dad laughed himself silly and then said, "No. Waste of good beer."
