  I think I found the right place. It probabbly must be Forceville and not Foerschwiller.

  I think Forceville makes more sense, especially since it is near Sarton and also Acheux which is also mentioned on this page. It's also not feasible that one company of the train would have suddenly been in Alsace rather than the Pas-de-Calais.

  That's very odd, though, that someone wrote out Froeschwiller in the diary. I wonder why?

  I was going to suggest it was the Germanised version of Forceville, which wouldn't be so unusual for Alsace...but seeing as it's not in Alsace that's not much help 😃

  Possibly just a mangled attempt to spell the French pronunciation.
