These seem to describe points in a communication network and appear often in Signals diaries.

I assume they're unit designations, with YCAR being a sub-unit of what YCA is. I'll see if I can find anything else out, though.

Or might they be actual points, rather like angles are labeled in geometry?

Or maybe something to do with a communication telephone exchange - Maybe their number - Is there a diary page for this where YCAR or YCA are mentioned.

The page is not easy to read. On line 10, I think it says - Wireless posts to be established on each line forward of YCAR. Not much wiser about YCAR or YCA though.

I still can't come up with anything for this. I keep thinking that the R could mean Right or Reserve, though.
