B.T. James

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air-to-ground_communication Lt B.T. (Baron Trevenen) James was apparently a pioneer in wireless in aircraft. http://marconiheritage.org/ww1-air.html . In Lives 1WW his unit is 6th Squadron, Royal Engineers? Was he detached or was that squadron part of the Royal Engineers?

Erik, I'm not sure what happened, but your link brings up the search for people who are named Home. This is the link to Lt. Trevenen's page on LFWW: https://livesofthefirstworldwar.org/lifestory/2086208
I think the 6th Squadron was part of the Royal Flying Corps, not the Royal Engineers. It may be that he was in the 6th Squadron, RFC, and was detached to the Royal Engineers.

Yes, Cynthia's right. He was a Royal Engineer, attached to 6 Sqd RFC. Quite a few RE men transferred to the RFC, I believe.
There's a memorial to him here: http://www.iwm.org.uk/memorials/item/memorial/41291
