the previous page = AWD0000ffh . This diary (I find it odd that it is typewritten) starts on the day Lt Pennycuick joined the 59th Field Coy, wich is mentioned in the official diary. My question: do I tag this as a diary page? On this page I came across two names I didn't find in the official diary, so I tend to answer my question with a yes. I

I have noticed that on the What to Tag List it says - (personal diaries and letters - private diary - tag as a report).

Yes, tagging this as a report is probably best. That way you can get the names. The activities themselves should be covered by the official diary. Interesting to see these, though!

The war diaries as we see them to day are largely the product of the effort to produce the Official History after the war, extra bits like this were added in as questions arose and the those involved in the production of the OH tried to reconcile differences between accounts of different units.
