    Hello. Does anyone know what a phizzbang is (the whole sentence goes ""Phizzbang" occasionally active.")? Google search doesn't give any relevant info. Thanks.

    Maybe another name for Whizzbangs - High Velocity Shell.

    • "whizz" noise of a travelling shell before the "bang" issued by the gun itself. Whizz bangs consequently much feared since the net result was that defending infantrymen were given virtually no warning of incoming high-velocity artillery fire as they were from enemy howitzers.

    I agree it is probably the shell commonly called the Whizbang. (I've usually seen it with just one z.)
