    Re a Russian vapour bath is being fitted up into the Rest Station. I believe they are steam baths.

    It mentions an Officer’s Rest Station on the next line - within entry 16/5/16. Maybe steam baths for the Officers.

    Yes, a Russian vapour bath is a steam bath, similar to a sauna. There are a few photographs in this article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banya_(sauna)

    The officers' rest station is only being proposed, so the bath mentioned on the page must have been at the rest station for OR. It may have been used therapeutically.

    My first thought was that it must have something to do with vodka fumes, but this is much more plausible.
