Oignon

    I wonder why the author keeps writing Oignon (river) instead of Omignon, which is the right name.

    My guess is that he either has a map that spells it Oignon or somebody else spelled it that way for him. If he's consistent, then he thinks that is how it is spelled.

    Must have been that last one because on the trench map it's Omignon. But on the other hand, I don't know if he has the same map as we do, because on the previous pages he refers to sheet 44B while I had to look at map 36b or 36c to find the villages that were mentioned.
