Gun casualtie

3th: When they say "gun casualty" does that mean that it was destroyed by the enemy?

In this instance, I think not - they don't mention coming under fire. Equally, they don't mention any gun team casualties, so I think this must mean the guns were out of action due to mechanical failure or something similar.
