Franks Force

At first I thought it had something to do with France (or Frankrijk in dutch), but Frank should be Maj General G. Frank according to http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?/topic/29635-franks-force/ but I can't find a general Frank in Lives.

I've found a Major General George McKenzie Franks on Lives: https://livesofthefirstworldwar.org/lifestory/1246957 This fits with the last entry in your Invision Zone thread that says General G McK Franks. According to lives, he was in the Royal Garrison Artillery.
And here's what he looked like: http://www.npg.org.uk/collections/search/person/mp132736/sir-george-mckenzie-franks
This type of force is one of those where unit's were shifted around and detached to other units in order to put together the needed types of force in that particular area at that particular time.
