31st battery ammunition

Ever since the battle of the Somme started the author gives every day an account of the expended ammunition for the four batteries: 12th, 25th, 58th and 31st. But as he makes the total he doesn't take into account the ammunition used by the 31st (being an attached battery). Does this battery gets its ammunition from another brigade?

Good question! It seems like it does, which would mean that the 31st Battery is attached for tactical reasons but is still included in its regular brigade for administrative purposes, like ammunition distribution.
