Salvoes and rounds

Whats the difference?

I think the difference is that one gun fires a round and a salvo is more than one gun firing at the same time.
A salvo is the simultaneous discharge of artillery or firearms including the firing of guns either to hit a target or to perform a salute.

Marie is correct about this. Another way to describe rounds in terms of artillery is simply to say that each shell is a round. A round is a unit of ammunition.
